Registration & Fees
How do I register my child for the team?
Registration is done through the Colleyville Parks and Recreation Department. Use team code CRUSH when registering. You can register online through the Parks and Recreation website or in person at the Rec Center.
What is the cost to play?
The registration fee is $90 per player for the Spring 2026 season. Early bird registration was available at $80 per player through December 19 at 5:00 PM.
What does the registration fee include?
Your registration fee covers:
- •Team jersey
- •8 weeks of regular season games
- •Weekly practice sessions
- •Entry to championship tournament
Additional team t-shirts are available for purchase at registration for $15 each.
What if I registered as a free agent?
Free agent players are placed on teams by the Parks and Recreation Department. If you registered as a free agent, you'll receive an email with your team assignment and coach contact information once placement is complete. Free agent registration ended on January 2, 2026 to allow time for team placement before the season starts.
Practice & Games
When and where is practice?
Practice is every Wednesday at 5:00 PM at Colleyville Rec Center. Each practice session is one hour long. Practices begin February 18, 2026.
What should my child bring to practice?
Please make sure your child brings:
- •Water bottle - Staying hydrated is essential
- •Athletic shoes with non-marking soles - Court shoes or sneakers
- •Knee pads - Important for safety and confidence
- •Athletic clothing - Comfortable clothes for movement
What if we need to miss a practice or game?
We understand that conflicts happen! Please contact Coach Jonathan as soon as possible if your child will miss a practice or game. While consistent attendance helps with skill development and team bonding, we know family obligations and other commitments come up. Just keep us informed.
When and where are games held?
Games are played on Saturdays throughout the season. Game times and locations are announced weekly by the league. Most games are held at local rec centers in the area. Coach Jonathan will communicate all game details to families as soon as they are available.
Are there any weeks without games or practice?
Yes, there will be no games or practices during:
- •Spring Break: March 15-21, 2026
- •Easter Break: March 29 - April 4, 2026
Team Info
How many players are on the team?
Teams consist of 8-12 players. This size ensures everyone gets meaningful playing time while maintaining enough depth for substitutions during games.
What age group is Purple Crush?
Purple Crush is an 11u team, meaning players should be 11 years old or younger as of September 1, 2025. This typically includes players who are 10-11 years old during the spring season.
What experience level is required?
No prior volleyball experience is required! The league is designed to introduce youth to the game of volleyball in a safe, fun environment. We focus on teaching fundamental skills, sport ethics, and enjoying the game. Players of all skill levels are welcome.

How long is the season?
The season runs from mid-February through early May 2026, featuring:
- •8 weeks of regular season games
- •Weekly practices throughout the season
- •Championship tournament on May 2-3
